This was my final project for my Intermediate Photography class. For this assignment, we had to choose a photographer we had learned about in class as inspiration. I chose Graciela Iturbide as my inspiration. I was inspired less by her style of photography and more by her methods. When she shoots, she doesn’t set up shots; rather, she waits for a shot to appear that gives her an “aha” moment. For this project, I wanted to capture moments from college that I would want to remember, and I did that by taking my camera with me whenever I went out with friends, or during these moments. While Graciela was my inspiration, I wanted to keep my photos in my own style, as I felt that further emphasized the memory aspect, and the nostalgia that I want my photos to bring in the future.

The following image shows how I displayed all of the images for my final. I printed all of the larger images on 8.5×11 matte paper, and all of the smaller images on 4×6 matte paper.
