This poster was made for the 2024 AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts) Get Out the Vote Campaign. For my poster, I chose an audience of people who don’t vote because they think their vote won’t matter and won’t make a difference. I wanted to show how if enough people think this way, then it does start to matter and will make a difference. About 12 million people don’t vote every year because of this reason, meaning if each one of those people did vote, it would make a huge difference.
When making my poster, I knew I wanted to have a focus on type, as I felt just using words would make the message more powerful. I decided to use a lot of layering in my design to give it more depth and to grab people’s attention.
